About USDA Loans
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) created the USDA Rural Development Home Loan as a way to improve the lives of rural Americans. Through this program, people living in what the USDA considers as a “rural area” can benefits from zero money down, 100% financing and access to highly competitive mortgage rates.
USDA / RURAL HOUSING LOAN
The USDA Loan was created to assist approved lenders in providing low and moderate income households the opportunity to own adequate, modest, decent, safe and sanitary dwellings as their primary residence in eligible rural areas. The program provides a 90% loan note guarantee to approved lenders in order to reduce the risk of extending 100% loans to eligible rural homebuyers.
This program helps lenders work with families living in rural areas to make homeownership a reality. Providing affordable homeownership opportunities promotes prosperity, which in turn creates thriving communities and improves the quality of life in rural areas.
